If you've already helped Ole Shammy once before in Ain't No Sham in It, you know the eccentric brewer has a knack for turning chaos into craft beverages. Now he's at it again, looking to bottle up his next great (and probably explosive) invention. The Brew-ha-ha mission continues Shammy's saga of spirited experiments - and it's packed with humor, geysers, and plenty of loot.

Mission Details

Quest Giver: Ole Shammy

Location: Shammy's Shack, southern Fadefields

Prerequisite: Complete Ain't No Sham in It

Rewards: Cash, XP, and Eridium

You can start this mission by meeting up with Shammy at his pub, Shammy's Shack, located at the southernmost edge of the Fadefields. Once you've finished his previous side quest, a mission marker will appear above his head. Talk to him, and he'll excitedly rope you into helping with his newest boozy brainstorm.

Step 1: Talk to Ole Shammy

Approach Shammy behind the bar, and you'll be greeted with his usual mix of slurred enthusiasm and brilliant insanity. He explains that he's been "inspired by the elements" and needs help sourcing special materials for a new drink that's literally bubbling with flavor.

Your first task? Track down a geyser that's rumored to spout "flavor-infused nuggets" - the perfect ingredient for his brew.

Accept the mission to receive your waypoint and the first objective.

Step 2: Find and Unclog the Geyser

Open your map and mark your next destination: the Haywire Shire, a coastal area just south of your current location. Fast travel or drive your way there. As you approach, you'll spot a cluster of steamy rock formations and a faint glow coming from one of the geysers - that's your target. Having enough Borderlands 4 Money will be of great help to you.

When you arrive, Shammy contacts you over the ECHO to mention a small "issue." The geyser seems to be clogged - again. If you completed his previous brewing escapade, you'll remember how to fix this: a good old-fashioned ground slam.

Climb up the ledge overlooking the clogged geyser. Once you're directly above it, jump and perform a ground slam (by pressing crouch while mid-air). The impact will blow open the geyser, sending up a plume of colorful mineral nuggets.

Shammy cheers you on over comms, thrilled that his "flavor geyser" is back in business. But the hard part is just beginning - now you've got to collect the right nuggets to make his experimental brew.

Step 3: Collect Colored Nuggets for the Brew

As soon as the geyser is active, you'll notice nuggets of different colors bursting into the air and landing nearby. A brewing machine sits just a few meters away - that's where you'll toss the nuggets in to mix the drink.

Shammy's voice will guide you through the brewing process, calling out which color nugget he needs next. You'll need to throw the correct-colored nuggets into the machine in sequence.

Timer Alert: You have 5 minutes and 30 seconds to complete this step, so move fast.

The nuggets vary in color (blue, green, red, yellow), and tossing in the wrong one wastes time. Keep your ears open and respond quickly to Shammy's calls.

While you're collecting, Manglers - aggressive local beasts - will spawn to interrupt you. Don't ignore them for too long; if you get overwhelmed, you'll lose precious time. Quickly take them out, scoop up the right nugget, and keep brewing.

A good strategy here is to use area-of-effect weapons to clear space and then grab the nuggets safely. Movement skills or slides can also help you close the distance faster.

Once you've added all the correct ingredients, the machine will rumble to life, mixing Shammy's concoction into a glowing bottle of liquid chaos.

Mission update: Collect the Brew.

Step 4: Retrieve the Brew

When the brewing process finishes, look below the machine's main chamber. A crate will open, revealing Shammy's new creation, now bottled and labeled. Pick up the bottle - the quest item will automatically appear in your inventory.

Of course, Shammy won't be satisfied until he gets a taste. He contacts you again, practically shouting with excitement, and tells you to bring it back so he can "quality check" it.

Time to head back to Shammy's Shack.

Step 5: Return the Brew to Shammy

Fast travel or drive back north to the Fadefields and enter Shammy's pub once again. When you approach him, a prompt will appear to hand over the bottle.

Shammy takes a long look at it, gives it a dramatic sniff, and downs a gulp like a pro. His reaction is, as expected, over the top - he declares it a perfect success and immediately starts talking about how much he can charge for a glass once he slaps a fancy label on it.

Mission accomplished! You've officially helped him create another dangerously delicious drink - and earned your rewards in the process.

Step 6: Collect Your Rewards

Once Shammy finishes his rant about "artisanal pricing," the mission will be complete. You'll automatically receive:

Cash: A solid payout for your trouble

XP: Scales to your level, great for mid-game progression

Eridium: A nice bonus if you're saving up for rare cosmetics or weapon skins

If you check the bar counter afterward, you might even spot bottles of Borderlands 4 Character Power Leveling his new brew on display - a fun little touch showing off your handiwork.
