Kerala Tour Packages: Why You Should Totally Consider This Slice of Heaven

If you’ve ever scrolled Insta and thought, “woah that place looks unreal,” chances are it was Kerala. I mean seriously, those backwaters, green hills everywhere, and houseboats that look like they popped outta a movie — its like nature just showing off. I didnt really get why ppl hyped it so much, but then I booked a Kerala tour package last year, and man, it’s a vibe you dont forget.
Chill in the Backwaters (and Try Not to Overthink Stuff)
So Kerala is famous for backwaters right? You get these traditional houseboats floating slowly on calm waters while coconut trees kinda wave at you like hey look at me. I spent one afternoon just chilling on the deck, sipping chai, watching little villages pass by. It was weirdly luxurious but also super simple, you know? Kinda like life saying, “slow down bro.”
Fun fact I read somewhere: Kerala has over 900 km of navigable waterways. Thats like… if you started paddling from one end, u could probably meet half the population before lunch… okay maybe not but still, a lot.
Hills, Tea, and a Lot of Walking
If u like hills, Munnar and other places are insane. Green hills everywhere, tea plantations that look unreal. But yeah, walking through those plantations makes u realize how out of shape u are lol. I got like 10k steps just before breakfast one day. But honestly, the air smells so good, like fresh leaves and rain, totally worth the struggle.
Kerala Food: More than Coconut Stuff
Everyone says Kerala food = coconut everywhere, and yeah, kinda true, but it’s sooo good. I had this fish curry that honestly changed how I look at curries forever. And the banana chips? Dangerous. Also ppl online complain it’s too spicy sometimes, but I kinda liked it.
Tip: if u book a Kerala tour package, get one that includes a local food thing. ur taste buds will love u.
Wildlife, Ayurveda, and Random Adventures
Not all of Kerala is just chill. Went to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and saw elephants just hanging by the lake like they own the place. Kerala is big on Ayurveda too — tried a massage with warm herbal oils after 2 days of walking…man, felt like all my stress just evaporated.
Also funny story: got kinda lost in Kochi one day, ended up in this small cafe with the BEST filter coffee ever. Sometimes the random stuff u stumble upon is better than planned tours lol.
Why Packages Make Sense
Yeah u could plan everything yourself, but honestly, a good Kerala tour package saves u so much headache. Hotels, transport, hidden spots — someone else deals with the boring stuff so u just enjoy. And maybe meet other people obsessed with snapping perfect pics of houseboats lol.
