 Where Is The Rupin Pass Trek ?

The Rupin Pass trek begins from Jiskun village in Himachal Pradesh and takes you on a 7 day journey in which you cover a total distance of 65 kilometers.Traditionally the starting point of the Rupin Pass trek is in Dhaula village in Uttarakhand, but many trekkers today opt for a slightly altered but equally rewarding route from Jiskun. This is a shorter route and immerses you into much more thrilling landscapes.

The Shifting Landscape of Rupin Pass Trek.

While on your way to reach the Rupin Pass you walk through a variety of changing landscapes that showcase the full beauty of the Himalayas. Starting from Jiskun you find yourself surrounded by Oak and Deodar forests that are home to the charming alpine birds that seem to chirp in unison to celebrate your arrival. The lush green forests also hide within them the striking and expansive meadows bursting with wild flowers, while following the trail you will suddenly find yourself standing in between these green meadow fields, a truly spectacular experience. The higher and closer you move to the Rupin Pass the more otherworldly the scenes become. Walking parallel to you at many parts during the trail is the Rupin river, its crystal clear water coming straight down from the glacier on those high mountain peaks. You will find cascading waterfalls, falling down from hundreds of feet above, it is from these mountains that the water rolls down and joins the great rivers that feed the plains. 

On reaching the summit you see the most striking and unique Himalayan scenes. The snowfields stretching to the horizon, the biting cold winds of the Himalayas, the rugged terrain.
