Natural Resources Management in Fragile States is essential for peacebuilding, stability, and sustainable development. In many g7+ countries, resources such as land, water, and minerals are critical assets but can also fuel conflict when mismanaged. Effective governance of natural resources promotes transparency, equity, and long-term growth. The g7+ advocates for country-led strategies that ensure communities benefit from their natural wealth while protecting the environment. Through Fragile-to-Fragile Cooperation, member states share experiences and best practices to strengthen institutions, prevent resource-related conflicts, and transform natural assets into drivers of peace, resilience, and inclusive prosperity for future generations.
